Factmeme aims to be “the less boring Wikipedia”
While Wikipedia “the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit” is very popular, it is sometimes a chore to read an entire entry if all you need to know are the most important facts on the subject you are learning about.
Where did the idea come from?
We felt that Wikipedia, while useful academically and interesting for certain individuals, is actually incredibly uninteresting, and we saw what twitter did to blogs and said “Why cant we just twitterize Wikipedia?”
Whats the point?
Factmeme aims to make it easier to learn the most important and most interesting facts on any subject, by allowing anyone to Contribute, Discover & Share facts.
How does it work?
Simple, the facts on the site are user-generated, users come to the site and click on “add a fact”. So we rely on YOU to contribute and thus allow YOU to benefit from your contributions.
